The Able Touch solution delivers in-building wireless (802.11b/g) broadband access over an RF network. The product is unique and can halve the cost of providing in-building wireless access. The solution consists of two hardware devices, a Power Amplifier and a Diplexer, which allow a standard wireless Access Point to broadcast its signal across an existing in-building GSM or CDMA (RF) antenna network.
The following provides a quick overview of how the solution works:
From the WiFi Access Point (AP) in the MDF (main distribution frame) room, the signal output transmits to a Power Amplifier (PA). The PA boosts the signal to make up for the loss of the signal over the distance of the mobile network. The Diplexer merges the WiFi signal into the existing network. The splitter then sends the signal to the antenna, ready for WiFi users.
